Juxtaposition is to put things that are not similar next
to each other. Juxtaposition was quite famous these days. In an art,
Juxtaposition can be applied to texture (soft and rough, dull and sharp, etc.),
function, and also by making an irony or humor theme into a piece of artwork.
Besides contrasting things, those two things must relate to each other. You cannot
just place two different things that had no relationship.
For example is the picture
above, a Juxtaposition sculpture, a tank which used balloons that is puffy,
fragile, playful and colorful besides using metals which is heavy, solid and
dangerous.
